Scientific Abstracts

From LARES Association, we would like to promote the exchange of knowledge and the research among the professionals of the elderly care sector and that’s why a call for abstract submission is launched.
Once the abstracts are accepted by the Scientific Committee, they will be uploaded in the conference program as an oral abstract.

Deadline for submission of abstracts:  October 1, 2021

Notification date of the abstracts accepted by the Scientific Committee:  October 8, 2021

Deadline for final abstracts:  October 18, 2021

  • Abstracts must be submitted through the application form included in this website. In case of submitting abstracts through another way, they will be rejected.
  • Abstracts must be written in English or Spanish
  • Abstracts must be original and unpublished
  • The authors, at first, have to send a brief abstract before October 1, 2021. No abstracts wil be accepted after this date.
  • These brief abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee which reserves the right of acceptancing them. The Scientific Committee will inform the authors of the acceptance or not of their abstracts before October 8, 2021.
  • The non-acceptance of the abstract may lead to non-compliance with the aspects referred to the format, detailed in the section included below.
  • Authors whose abstracts have been accepted will have until October 18, 2021 to submit their final works.
  • Authors whose abstracts have been accepted will present their work in the specific sessions of this Conference, included in the program.
  • No correction can be made by the Scientific Committee
  • Only one abstract will be accepted per registration and per main author
  • The submission of abstracts implies the author’s consent for its publication. The abstracts presented will be uploaded, once the conference is over, to the online platform which will remain open for 1 month.

Written abstracts must have a maximum of 350 words.

They must contain:

  • Title
  • Authors
  • Introduction
  • Objectives
  • Methodology
  • Conclusions
  • Bibliography
  • Structure: the submission of abstracts must be adapted to the rules established and must follow a logical and consistent order.
  • Title: it should be clear, precise and it must represent the essay.
  • Content: it must be related to the proposed areas of study (relevance). The novelty of the study, its applicability to practice and the respect for the ethical principles that all research must have will be assessed.
  • Objectives: they have to be well defined, clear and specific.
  • Method: It must be suitable for the achievement of the stated objectives. It must clearly and precisely include the following aspects:
    • Scope or context of study
    • Design
    • Names of the participans
    • Variables or dimensions studied
    • Procedures or tools used for data collection and data analysis
  • Results: they should be consistent with the objectives, clear and easily interpretable.
  • Discussion or debate: it should be consistent with the results presented and provide an answer to the research question posed.
  • Conclusions: they should be consistent with the results in a clear and a brief manner.
  • All the authors presenting abstracts will have free registration to the congress.
  • All the authors presenting scientific abstracts accepted by the Committee will receive an accredited certificate.
  • The Scientific Committee will choose the 3 best abstracts among all the accepted. The authors of these abstracts will receive a diploma and a prize of 500€, 350€ and 100€, respectively

In order to consult the accepted abstracts, they will be uploaded to the official congress website and to the Lares Association website, afterwards.

    • You must be registered in the conference in order to receive your password to access the platform.
    • Once logged in into the online platform, click on the “new abstract” button
    • Fill in the different fields of the application form, attach your work and click on the “create proposal” button.
    • The Scientific Committee will send you the acceptance or rejection of your work, through the platform.
    • Once your abstract is accepted, you must send your final work to the Technical Secretariat to lares2021@eurocongres.es

Experiences Lab

In the care sector, great part of the knowledge is obtained from the experience. That’s why, the Lares Association would like to promote the colective learning through the sharing of ideas and powerful experiences developed by professionals in the sector, which have had a positive impact in this activity, in the home care or in the community where they have been developed.
Take part of this Experiences Lab, we want to know all your experiences!

It is a space of exchange where any care sector worker, regardless of their professional category, can share experiences and good practices achieved, which they are proud of, or they believe might be useful to other colleagues, either because of their effectiveness, their novelty or because the good acceptance by users and/or other colleagues.

The idea is to give professionals in this sector the opportunity to express their knowledge and experiences in a space of freedom and spontaneity, without the need to comply with the requirements of the scientific method

  • Choose the experience to share
  • Choose the abstract’s format which you consider the most suitable to communicate your own experience. You will find here below the options and the requirements.
  • Send the experience through the online application form of the congress website.
  • Text: maximum length of 5 pages, 2500 words approximately. Accepted formats: Word, PDF.
  • Video: maximum length of 5 minutes. Accepted formats: MP4, AVI.
  • Audio: maximum lenght of 5 minutes. Accepted formats: MP4, AVI, MOV. WMV.
  • Image: accepted formats: JPG, PNG, GIF.

Accepted experiences will be uploaded in a specific area of the online platform.

The Organizing Committee reserves the right of admission of the essays.

  • The conference registration will be free of charge to everyone participating in this Experiences Lab.
  • The Scientific Committee will choose the three best proposals among all of them. The authors will be awarded with a diploma and with prizes of 300€, 200€ and 100€ respectively.
